I’m so thankful for this day!
First off, Friday the 13th really sucks and this Monday is such a blessing. Last Friday was like a Walpurgis night to me. (Sorry for the term, Madoka Magika hangover. Anime post to follow…) Imagine the fire trucks and ambulance rushing, car accidents, moths whirling around, traffic and lots and lots of hassle.
Today, let me count my blessings:
- got a new customer, Singaporean with lots of Human Nature orders
- 3 other customers have placed their bulk orders
- won the raffle at Ten Minutes, Tops! to cover the The Mind Museum’s first exhibit testing event
- landed a new hourly job @ oDesk plus one more fixed price
- given new online assignments per blog
- heard the good news from Batangas
I’m so busy these days but I’m happy about it. I’m still alive and kicking.
Ready to share my blessings…
Sad to say, I was not moved by the pastoral letter read by our priest in the Basilica of Immaculate Concepcion. This approach during the homily just sent some mixed signals to the crowd (and definitely triggered violent different reactions, too). Talk about contradictions and insensitive approach. Have you heard of that story? This is not the same case as Virgin Mary. This one is a solved mystery, so all the couples out there, be warned: The Case of the Pregnant Virgin

Know when to stop...
This is not a simple real-life drama. Some guys are just plain stupid that they can’t accept the scientific explanation about their sperms. Simply put, ejaculating right at the front of hymenal opening can let the sperms enter the vaginal canal. So even if there is no penetration and the girl is physically “virgin”, she can still get pregnant. Too bad that their story did not end up well. What can be worse than break up and unplanned pregnancy? Should the girl have known that she will get pregnant, she could have just indulged herself in an intense lovemaking or hardcore sex. The risk is the same anyway. She could have prepared herself to become a future mother. She could have read prenatal vitamin reviews and consider the baby’s health and hers.

I’m happy and proud to say that I’ve made few people happy this Christmas season. Taxi drivers, colleagues, salesmen and sales ladies, guard on duty, passengers, and other strangers. It feels good sharing your blessings to others. And for every simple gift given and act of kindness done, my prayers also go with them. I’m glad and thankful that God gave me the power to make other people smile… their faces are beaming with happiness! Cheers everyone! Happy holidays!
Even if I did not win at Sharkbytes’ contest, I’ll be glad to share my edited entry. To be honest, I prefer this kind of contest because it’s really challenging! It’s like an exciting mind game.

Remembering my grandmother’s death makes me lonely. Such a lamenting flashback.

I can still feel their presence...
Even if it was already dark and the shady trees were covering my frail figure, the world knew that I was there… Busy scribbling unrecognizable marks in the moist ground while sniffing occasionally. It was so me. A big cry-baby. Her favorite grandchild.
The thought of writing about these jumbled words send me the chills. I could highlight the word grandmother and everything will revolve around it. This is just one of my nostalgic posts. A quick look back in the past reminds me of my grandparents. The best among the best. My grandma is one of the best among my three moms. Yes, I was born to three mothers – my biological mom, my aunt and my grandma. I have to say that grandma is the most lenient and most affectionate. My granddad was a farmer and my father inherents that precious job from him. Living in a farm is very rewarding not to mention that my grandma nurtured everything that was within her reach. The mango and jackfruit trees, the medicinal plants, the rootcrops, the poultry animals, and her grandchildren.
I miss my grandparents so much. You can’t imagine the amount of tears I’ve shed when they passed away. My grandfather was killed. That was the worst night of my childhood. While my grandpa suffered a painful death, my grandma had a peaceful one. She died with her grandchildren around her, and I was holding her hands up to her last breath. It’s been a year…
