Finding a job these days can be very difficult especially that the economy is not doing well. Most companies nowadays would prefer to cut on some corners just to be able to keep up with increasing business costs. On the other hand, people who have been laid off due to these factors are forced to tend their own difficult financial condition. Though this may be the case, there are still jobs that are available out there that people who are unemployed may attempt to apply for such as waiter/waitress jobs.
May I take your order?
If you are one of those who are interested in landing a job as a waitress then there are a number of things that you need to keep in mind. The first would be finding the people who could help you get the job. If you know someone who works in a restaurant or at least have connections in the restaurant industry then you are in a good start. Another would be getting familiar with what the restaurant sells. You cannot expect getting hired if you do not even have an idea of what food you will be serving to your customers.
Furthermore, when you are in the application process you should exert effort in looking and being at your best. The same thing goes when you are already working. You should also be familiar with the different kinds of dishes or fruits.
When you are already working as a waiter or waitress, you should always be neat. Dress up properly or wear your work uniform. If you are aiming for a higher position, do your best and be proactive when it comes to your duties. These are just few tips when you are looking for waiter/waitress jobs.

I’m an active online earner and I’m so blessed to get decent job offers. I don’t have an online business degree yet I find myself in the middle of great online opportunities. Soooo thankful about it!
Today marks my second year of being an oDesker and I am so satisfied with what I’ve earned so far. Can’t disclose it here.

I did not receive a notebook computer for my birthday. I did not wish for it anyway. Hehe. So, how’s my birthday? Simple. In every sense of the word.
I want my next birthday cake to be like this... MTG!
Simplicity means staying at home and celebrating with my family. This time, with my second family – his family. I had a hell week and it drove me nuts. I have another birthday post on Spread the W.O.R.D and you may want to check it out, too.
Family and friends greeted me through text messages, emails and Facebook. Too bad, I couldn’t invite them to celebrate with me. I missed them.
I’m a year older now…
So, what are my plans?
Still the same, have my own business. I used to be confused between being a successful career woman and business woman. I’d rather be the latter. I want to be my own boss. Yes, I am ambitious in a very positive way and I will work hard to realize all of my dreams!
Few days from now, I will definitely be on my own…
