Whew! So that’s it – vertigo and migraine are not just simple physical conditions, they are actually symptoms of much complex syndrome – TMJ (TemporoMandibular Joint) Syndrome.
And I’m positive. Damn vertigo, migraine, RSI-sh, shoulder and back pain, stiffed neck, ear buzz, etc.

Tsk... Tsk...
Rings a bell? I’ve heard that term before, my friend used to wear something transparent in his mouth and he told us that it’s for his TMJ. Now I know what it is called – “appliance”. And I am wearing something like that appliance right now! Argh, uncomfty! This is phase 1 of my TMJ treatment, phase 2 might include braces and brackets!
Oh, TMJS. If only you’re JTMS, I might fall in love with you!
Up for a good laugh? Make sure that ROTFLing won’t make your jaw locked!
Urban Dictionary defines TMJ here.
But here’s a more insightful definition from TMJ specialists:
Many of the symptoms of TMJ have overlapping characteristics, which often mimic other conditions. Indeed, it is quite common for people to seek the care of a medical doctor in search of a cure or answer. Most, however, never think to contact a dentist trained in TMJ since the symptoms are primarily medical in nature.
