Glittery Red by OPI Nail Lacquer

Just when I’m about to use Bobbie Premium Nail Creme Green Lush, I decided to go for Glittery Red by OPI Nail Lacquer! It might be my happy mood that trigger the switch.

Evening shot of my glittery red nails!

Forget about that smudge. I painted my nails last night and took some photos afterwards.  Just blogging about it now! :)

College Friends Meet Again…

Girl bonding… I never thought that this could happen again. I mean seriously… we are all busy with our lives – Roch as a mom of two; Ysh on her quick hometown visit from UAE; and me, working at home. We really had a great bonding time yesterday! Not just the three of us but also Roch’s family. Her husband, Jake was as hospitable as her while the kids, Willow and Willa were both sweet and hyperactive. How lovely!

And the thing that I enjoyed the most is Roch’s homemade pork sinigang. I sooo love everything about it – the soup, meat and vegetables were all well done! The spicy bagoong made me crave for more! I was super hungry that time and admittedly ate a lot. Talk about late dinner.

We also had a good laugh with local comedy films while enjoying bottles of drinks and some chips. It was really nice to be with old and long-time friend once again. We reminisced our college days and as we recalled a lot of crazy stuff we laughed to our hearts’ content.

Ysh and I planned this overnight stay and it finally happened. Big thanks to mommy Roch for the accommodation, and of course for the friendship!

We slept at around 5AM or probably 6AM because Ysh kept bugging me on our bed. LOL. Yeah, disturbing my sleep or rather annoying me with her heavy feet. Haha. (I really missed you Ysh!)

Anime Girl Bonding - Sleepover

So, what are your plans?

We woke up at 8AM with the two jolly kids inside our room. And I spent most of my morning playing with Willow and Willa.

While having breakfast, we talked about business and finance. We finally convinced Ysh to invest in the stock market! That’s right! Something serious when it comes to our future. Time has changed. It is not always about lovelife when going to a girls’ night out.

We left Roch’s place after lunch and I wish we could stay later or until the next day. I actually had a big back pack with me filled with clothes and personal stuff. Girl scout!

I HAD SO MUCH FUN!

I also wish to reconnect with more of our college classmates. But right now, Christmas reunion seems impossible. And a repeat experience for this wonderful sleepover party will probably take 1-2 years more… Hopefully!

Banana Split Birthday Special

No, this is not your favorite gag show… but one of the special events in Selphie’s life – her first birthday!

Jason Gainza made this picture look like a sitcom snapshot:

Liz, Margaux, Jason, Khim

We’ve got more photos from Mr. Clickerz booth but I decided to share just this one with the star(s) of the show. The rest of the photos are uploaded in Facebook. (Special thanks to Margaux and KC for the tag!)

The birthday celebration was held at Max’s restaurant at Sct. Tuazon. It’s so nice to be reconnected with my fellow teentalkers and real-time friends!

Happy 1st birthday Selphie!

25…15…10 Tags!

First there was 25 Random Things About Me, then 15 Things to Love and Hate About Me and now here comes 10 More Tagged-Worthy Facts About Me

With the 40 things I’ve ALREADY shared about me, what more can I think of? Nathalie is driving me crazy… But I still thank her for this tag.

Guys, don’t blame me if there are duplicate entries here. So let me start…

1. I’m obsessed with nail polish and the smell of newly-opened bottle of OPI, Bobby, Revlon, etc makes me HIGH. Rugby is not my thing. But nail polish, yeah! Then my addiction levels up to nail arts. Loving KONAD!

2. I gave up on stilletos. I used to wear killer shoes and high-heeled sandals until I’ve read about BUNIONS. It freaked me out and I don’t want to have one. Now, the frequency of me wearing high-heels is 3-4 times a month.

3. Nailo inspired me to travel a lot. And I want to capture life in every angle with this DSLR.

4. I’m guilty of favoritism in terms of blogging. I have more that a dozen blogs yet only half of it gets updated more often. The rest are one to twice a month.

5. I never get tired watching Finding Nemo over and over again. Thanks Roch for the recommendation and CD-burn copy of it. My sisters and cousins love the movie, too!

6. I don’t answer phonecalls unless I was told that it’s a phone call. Weird? I have my own cellphone rules: TEXT before CALL. Hope that it won’t take its toll on me during emergencies. *knocks on wood*

Anime Girl Long Black Hair

Celebrate your crowning glory!

7. I wish my hair will grow faster! I’ve cut it above shoulder-length and I want to see it longer than this. My college friends used to say that I have virgin hair. All-natural, long, black and shiny. Then I started working in Manila and I learned how to devirginize my hair. I had it colored, relaxed, curled, straightened, trimmed, ironed, treated, and all other spa-mpering you could imagine. Now I’m a short-haired girl. And don’t forget the side-swept bangs.

8. I’ve got a new favorite bar drink – Malibu Coke. Smells like butterscotch and tastes like real honey. Credit goes to Kuya Hai for this tasty mix! I thought Strawberry Margarita is the sweetest and best drink I could ever have in Baguio!

9. I haven’t finished reading The Art of Seduction (by Robert Greene) yet and several other books at home. Not to mention that there are lots of e-books sitting on my inbox. Simply translates, I have no time to read books these days. Talk about being busy!

10. I’ve just got a magical tattoo and I’m so happy and proud about it! “No pain, No gain” does not hold true for this session because it was almost painless.

P.S.
While working on this post, I had a glimpse of TV5′s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition commercial. Home makeover is as popular as manufactured homes in US.

It’s tagging time! Know the rules first:

Each tagged person must post ten things about themselves.
You have to choose and tag ten people.
Go to their blogs and tell them you tagged them.
No tag backs.
Have Fun.

Voluptuous: The New Skinny?

Rather, the new sexy!

Summer Anime Girl

Strip with confidence!

I truly understand why everyone’s trying to be skinny right now! It’s S-U-M-M-E-R and they want to flaunt their gorgeous bodies at the beach! But hey, everyone should be proud of their own skin (and size)! Being sexy is not the only ticket to wearing two-piece! In fact, every girl has the right to be on their best swimsuit this summer! Skinny, chubby, voluptuous or what not, we are SEXY this way… (Shut up, Lady Gaga!) Yes, you may buy phenphedrine if you’re into a weight loss program but don’t let your self-confidence depends on it.

Cheer up a bit and hit the beach with all your might!

Enjoy sun bathing! :)
