I’m here in Batangas and I’ve just repaired 3 computers – 2 desktops and a laptop. My eyes are getting dozy staring at different computer monitors. I’m their all around computer technician!
I do not fear computers! I fear the lack of them!
My cousin requested me to reformat their home computer because they weren’t able to open any application. After probing, I found out that it happened after downloading and installing a free antivirus. I suspected that they’ve installed a fake antivirus. No program won’t run in normal mode so I switched the computer in safemode, uninstalled the bogus software and performed system restore. Up and running in less than 5 minutes!
Next is our personal computer. Infected with a virus again. Lots of pop-ups and weird things happening! My sisters are blaming our only brother for inserting infected flash drives from our neighbor. Whew. Worst part is, my own USB disk was infected as well the moment I plugged it in. All of the folders were changed into applications (.exe) and I was not able to upload important zipped files. Luckily, the virus did not corrupt my files, it just modified the folders into applications that opens up into a new window each time you click any of the folder. Annoying! After extracting the files and creating backups, I started cleaning up our computer and USB disks as well. I reminded my siblings to be mindful of what they’re opening and inserting into the computer. I installed a new antivirus, too.
Last one is my other cousin’s laptop. Mozilla Firefox was not allowing her to play YouTube videos but all’s going well with Google Chrome. When I checked, it was an issue with Adoble Flash player plugin. She told me that she had downloaded and installed the plugin several times but still, it won’t work. I tried it myself and same thing happened. With Firefox’ troubleshooting tip, I simply uninstalled older versions and duplicate copies of the plugins manually. Then I downloaded the installer again and installed it manually. Restarted the computer, and all is well.
Come to think of it, I’m doing the same thing at home and at work. Computers all night and all day! But for my relatives, I’m doing it for free!

I am not resigning to take online nursing degree. CISCO or SEO courses, probably. But for now, I’m more inspired with the idea of putting up my business. Whew, obsessed! During these stressful days, it’s what motivates me. Positive thoughts act as my miracle pill. They make me feel better.

I’m in a good mood right now. The sudden increase of my sites’ page rank excites me! I will be more active in blogging by February. I don’t mean to lock myself in my room during the love month, but I will definitely be in front of my laptop more often. I have to learn more about search engine optimization and site flipping. I am not a gamer but my boyfriend is. He’s so addicted to video games, board games and trading card games (TCG). I learned a lot from him and he got me into Magic The Gathering TCG. I also have a DND character that is taking part on his quest. Bully DM! He wanted me to play the games he had played before. Actually, it is more of a challenge. He wanted me to beat his record. How the hell am I going to do that? The only games I play are family computer games and Facebook application. It even came to a point of being confused of what Christmas we should have.
