How to Monetize Your Website

Using Affiliate Programs to Turn a Profit

How to monetize your website might seem like a difficult and long-term process, but there are ways to profit from your website and start receiving revenues fairly quickly. An excellent method to achieve this is through affiliate programs. Both the merchant and the affiliate will profit from the relationship. The affiliate will receive an income from each “hit” on the merchant’s link that’s posted on the affiliate’s website. And the powerful viral nature of the Internet can increase the affiliate’s income exponentially. The merchant will see increased traffic to his or her website, providing thousands of potential new customers.

Putting Your Website to Work

If you have a business, you can’t expect it to flourish and meet its full potential without a website. Today, marketing strategies don’t only include the Internet. They make the Web the top method for attracting customers to a business’s product or service. And smart business owners can monetize their website to bring additional income into the business and increase the bottom line. By joining an affiliate program, you take advantage of the Internet’s networking capabilities. As a business owner, an affiliate program can increase sales by driving more people to your website. As a website owner, you can receive revenues simply by linking a merchant’s website to your own.

A Path to Profit

If you’re asking yourself how you can monetize your website, the answer could be through an affiliate program. Whether you’re the affiliate or the merchant, these programs are a good way to get profit out of your website. As an affiliate, merchants will link their website to yours, and each time a visitor to your site clicks on the merchant’s link, you’ll receive a payment. This payment can be calculated based on number of clicks, number of sales or number of impressions—how many times an ad, or banner, is viewed. By joining an affiliate program, merchants can drive more traffic to their site.

Let’s Call It A Day!

TGIF. Since I am on a nightshift, I can’t make the most out of my Friday nights. I missed hanging out with friends, Friday Night Magic, dates with boyfriend and team gimik. You, how do you spend your Fridays?

This is a very fulfilling day!

No result yet, but so far so good. This made me realize that I am sooooo underweight. Argh. 5’2″ height, 40 kg. Guess my BMI! The doctor gave me a prescription. Well, just magic capsules to enhance my appetite. *raised brows* (I love to eat, but there are times that I’d rather sleep than eat.)

Well, accidentally. :) Yshel is a dear friend of mine and during this accidental bump meet up, I had the chance to introduce my boyfriend to my close friend and vice versa. Oh gosh, she changed a lot. I’d love to chat with her but I was on my way home and I’ve got 11PM shift later today.

Where Is Bloguardian?

Can you recognize this blog?

bloguardian

Have you ever wondered where is it now? It is under the review of Big G. It was classified as a SPAM blog recently. Ridiculous as it may sound, there’s no one to blame but the robots and their algorithm. I have sent my disputes, rebuttals, proof and all. I am confident that it is not a spam blog. Unfortunately, no matter how innocent I am and that blog is, they will have the final word. I am keeping my hopes high and praying really hard because Bloguardian Hellsite: Overcashed is my very first blog and the only PR4 among my 9 blogs. It was born way back 2006 during my college days, I revived it last 2009 and continuously supply good content ever since. If you are one of my avid readers and loyal followers, you can attest to it.

My beloved, please include me and my blogs in your prayers. Thanks for the usual support and God bless us all.

Cryptographic Countermeasure Technology in MasterCard

Credit cards play a major role in everyone’s life. I can attest to its effectiveness and convenience, though it can’t be denied that it still impose a risk to the user. Now here’s the good news – MasterCard will now employ the cryptographic countermeasure technology to enhance protection against hackers and to avoid being tampered.

This information is taken from “Heartland Data Breach: MasterCard Introduces ‘Tamper-Resistant’ Chip” press release. For the entire release, click this link or directly visit Affinion Security Daily News.

MasterCard’s ‘Smarter’ Card

Beginning now, MasterCard says it will require that vendors of smart cards and other cryptographic products that utilize DPA countermeasures be licensed from Cryptography Research in order to be used on MasterCard’s payment networks. How does DPA work to protect the card information? CRI’s Kit Rodgers explains, “On the technology side, DPA countermeasures are continually present on the payment device chip hardware. They are always ‘on’ when the chip is in use. DPA countermeasures are hardware and software design techniques whose primary goal is to make it difficult for attackers to use DPA to analyze/break a chip.”

MasterCard’s Erica Harvill, director of Communications, says that some of MasterCard’s vendors already are using licensed products with the CRI solution and that the remaining vendors will be making the transition to the CRI solution in the near future.

“We recognize the importance of Cryptography Research’s DPA technology and intellectual property in the area of tamper-resistant semiconductors,” said Christian Delporte, Vice President, Chip Centre of Excellence, MasterCard Worldwide. “The new requirements and rigorous testing provide enhanced assurances to our smart cards and devices.”

Prepare With Prepaid

If you have less than perfect credit, or are hoping to establish good credit the best way to get there would be a prepaid credit cards. There are several types of prepaid cards that will allow you to add money to the account via the internet or with your checking account and ensure that you will never go over your spending limit. Also, unlike a traditional credit card, there are no interest rates and no overdraft costs. They work like any other credit card, and many of them have the Visa, MasterCard or American Express logo on them, making them available to use wherever those credit cards are accepted.

In order to load money onto your prepaid card, you may need to buy a prepaid “money pack” from a local store. Check your local area to see who sells these money packs. Once you have one, which normally costs about five dollars to load, you call the number on the back of your prepaid card and enter the numbers given to you on your money pack. Within minutes, you’re ready to use your new prepaid card at any store.

The beauty of the card is that it will not allow you to overdraft, so you don’t have to worry about penalties associated with spending beyond your limit. If you do not have enough on your card, the transaction will simply be declined. In the event you are declined and you’re sure that the funds should be available, you may want to wait several minutes and try again. Sometimes, especially after business hours or on weekends, it takes a little longer to process a money pack.

These cards are also ideal for parents, who want to give their children the freedom to shop or have money for emergencies, but want to ensure their children do not go over their spending limits.
